I hope Gen Clark will join Obama's administration as Secretary of Defense. Gates is just part of the transition. SOFA has been reached in Iraq; troops should B pulling out by 2011. However, if the Iraq govt is not ready by 2011; a new SOFA could be negotiated.

Jews are great capitalists and come out on top of most business transactions.
You'd think with all the Neocons, AIPAC and Israel's running of American foreign policy they would have somehow made the Iraq war pay for itself, even profit from it.
Failure in this way is part of the reason of American's questioning the war, finally.
Poor Neocons,...they planned the invasion of the Middle East since the early 90's.
Failure was the result and failure too of conquering the rest of Israel's enemies.

Clark would have been the best President this country has ever seen... look at the best the repugs came up with, when they stole 04 from the American people... an idiot who has run this country into the ground....
Mcpain will surely follow suit...

sorry...meant to say "if I were a high ranking republican, I'd be pissed."
Thankfully I'm not a political candidate and I can slip up now and then!

No doubt...to an extent, she was a great choice. No one knows anything about her...she's this likeable little cheerleader, etc. But when the newness wears off and people start realizing she's an empty "dress suit" then they'll realize the short sightedness of that choice.
Again, there's no merit to Palin...just strategy and if I were a high ranking democrat (potentialy VP candidate), I'd be very pissed.

It's not like McCain picked his VP because she looks......holy crap!

Great comment.
Clark would have been a great choice for VP. I am so unbelievably impressed by Clark and his inability to "politick"...it's truly refreshing.
Guess that's what comes with his experience and background...
I wonder what would happen if we started picking the candidates based on merit & ability rather than on all the window dressing? I wonder what would become of national security, the economy and to our personal freedoms?

Clark is a self-serving megalomanic. Obama was smart to distance himself from this creep. |
