God I haven't seen this since I was a kid. Back when music tv shows were actually worth watching.

I couldnt help but always laugh when Marilyn McCoo sang a top 10 song...it sounded so chessey! But...I loved this show growing up as a kid.....

I wonder did Marilyn McCoo sing the background vocals for the Solid Gold theme song. It sure sounds like her. I win she sings the theme.

I must have struck a nerve with you to go on like you just did.

You know, your use of insults and name calling really is the calling card to your general lack of intelligence. As you can see, I haven't had to resort to your level of banter and have still managed to get to you. So I no longer need to lower myself by continuing a conversation with you. Have as good of a life as you can manage.

Obviously ? No, genius, just because you know more about a 80s crap show then I doesnt make you smarter. You really put the "M" in moron.

Actually, the show was on from 1980 to 1988. The spinoff was Solid Gold Hits and was on in 1984 for 1 season. So when I say it was on for 8 years - I wasn't including the the spin off. Just stating that it was popular enough to generate one. So I wouldn't insult somebody's intelligence when they are obviously smarter.
VernonCash (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Spinoffs dont count, if that were the case the Tracy Ullman show has been on for over twenty years. Egad, you're too dumb to be stupid.

Actually it lasted 8 years with a spinoff....so apparently you're the one with a skewed opinion.
