well, I wouldn't say the music would be nothing, symphonies play great music without constant drummers, but I agree that it's the heartbeat of songs and that the heartbeat of a song is very important.

The Go Gos would never have been were it not for the drummer. Before they came on, the band practiced once a week; afterward it was once a day.

I saw them on the same tour at the Boston Garden with AFOS....Both were great - first concert I ever saw - strongest memory was the balcony at the Garden literally bouncing up and down with all the people dancing.
